Style short hairstyle

Short Hairstyle

In case you are one of those who have thin hair, the ideal hair style is one that keeps your hair short. In fact, you can add the illusion of volume and thickness to your thin hair by going for short haircuts that are styled well. Short hairstyles will also make you look younger and boost your confidence with a new and different look. Very short hairstyles or hair that doesn't cross the ear length are also very easy to style, even as they look extremely trendy and fabulous. Short hair is also pretty easy to care for, unlike the long tresses that may demand some extra attention and pampering. Got hooked to short hairstyles? Read the article to know some of the best short hairstyles for fine hair.

Short Haircuts For Thin Hair
Pixie
Pixie hairstyle is the most classic of all short haircuts. It is the best hairstyle for oval or heart shaped faces and in case your hair has a bit of natural wave, pixie style is your call. In order to retain some freedom to style your hair, ask your hair stylist to cut it short on the back and sides, while keeping it a little longer on the top. You can even add some wispy bangs to your hair, depending on what suits your facial shape the best. Sleek your pixie haircut down for a formal look and for a more chic look, keep the cut spiked or tousled.

Asymmetrical Bob Hairstyles
Asymmetrical bob hairstyles will also go very well with thin hair. Such hairstyles create an illusion of fullness and width at the bottom, by making the short cut look elongated. If you have bangs in your hair that are neatly tucked behind your ear, it will give fullness to the hair and adds to its overall volume as well. The edges can be given a smart shape, if you want to keep your hair length a little longer than just short.

Sleek, Behind The Ears Style
This style is very well suited to women who have straight hair. They can wear their hair just below ear level, with a deep side part. Tuck the sides of the hair neatly behind your ears. This hairstyle looks sexy, no-nonsense and professional, all at the same time. It is also easy to style, saving a lot of time in your usual morning rush. A dash of styling will be required to complete the look of your hair, if it is too straight. Use a gloss serum to smooth your hair and tuck it behind the ears.

Shaggy Pixie Style
In case your short pixie hair has grown out a bit, you can sport a shaggy pixie style comfortably. A little extra length and texture will make the cut come out beautifully. You can even ask your stylist to give you more length in the back, along with choppy ends. Leave the top hair a little long as well, but not longer than the ear length. Shaggy pixie style looks best with long, eye-skimming bangs, swooped to one direction.

Style celebrities - mocked

Halloween is star-struck this year. Halloween isn't just for kids and pop culture experts say this year's spooky night will be a star-studded event for the older generation.

In addition to ghosts and goblins, witches, pirates and princesses, the more mature "dresser-uppers" are going Hollywood.

Dead celebrities, politicians and superheroes are topping the charts and in an effort to pay homage to their favourite celebrity, shoppers will be looking for the perfect pieces to obtain the image of their pop icon. The Daily News has 10 tips on how to recreate the image of 10 popular celebrities for a night of tricks and treats.

1 MICHAEL JACKSON

A vintage leather jacket would give the most authentic look, but a short, somewhat structured red jacket of any kind is mandatory to pull off this look. Use a can of metallic spray paint to transform boring white costume gloves and gym socks into a sparkly creation. Finally slip on a pair of black ballet slippers and slap on a black, silver studded hat. Throw in a few moonwalks and crotch grabs during the night to get in the groove.

2 MARILYN MONROE

If you're a blond, you're already one step ahead. If not, this costume really requires five items starting with a short, blond wig and a low-cut white dress. Then add a killer pair of high heels, red lipstick and don't forget to dot on her famous mole.

3 MADONNA

Madonna's most popular costume look still comes from her Like a Virgin era. Thrift shops will be the best place to start. Look for funky clothes and don't be afraid to break the rules. Madonna was known for her layers, mish-mash of colours and overuse of accessories. Gold bangle bracelets in the dozens will bring the point home. Buy a blond wig if you are not a natural blond. Try get one that can be loosely curled. Add make sure to slip on a pair of high heels that make a statement.

4 REALITY STARS KATE AND JOHN GOSSELIN

These two have swept in and scooped up the No. 1 costume idea for couples this year away from the typical Bonnie and Clyde or Romeo and Juliet.

To pull off Kate, all you really need is her ready-made wig, a pair of large sunglasses and then everyday clothes. You probably won't want to borrow eight kids to get the point across. John gets off easy by sporting a pair of jeans, an untucked shirt and a perpetually unhappy look.

5 FARRAH FAWCETT

Charlie's favourite angel will be popular among the ladies this Halloween. Attention to the hair is crucial to make sure you've got the feathered look happening. If you can get your hands on a form-fitting jumpsuit and a pair of great heels you're done.

6 SARAH PALIN

Find a business suit with a pencil skirt and a pair of rimless glasses. To get the hair right, you need a slight beehive hairstyle with bangs. Stick to black or red heels and don't forget the red lipstick.

7 BILLY MAYS

This burly, bearded television pitchman was famous for his boisterous hawking of products on TV. Slip into a pair of oversized khakis, a blue button-down shirt and stuff it with a small pillow. If you can't grow a beard in three weeks, work on getting some fake facial hair. Then all you have to do is carry around a box of OxiClean or a few regular household products.

8 OCTOMOM

This one could be a last-minute throw together if you happen to have eight baby dolls lying around the house.

Wear comfy clothes, get a long black wig, a pair of giant lips and attach the dolls to your person anyway you want.

9 MICKEY ROURKE

A cheap wig that gives you that great unwashed look. Borrow your girlfriend's eyeliner to draw on a stringy mustache. Finish off your getup with a pair of shades and some girly jewelry. If you can get your hands on a stuffed chihuahua your costume will be complete.

10 HEATH LEDGER'S JOKER

Ledger's acting performance in The Dark Knight has inspired many people to go as the Joker for Halloween. From the inside out you'll need a shirt and tie, dark pants, a green button-down vest and a long purple jacket. But all this will be wasted if you don't have the proper makeup. Start with a white-grey base for the foundation, create dark circles around the eyes and emphasize the large red lips and extending scars.

Trends right now - hair style

Men may do their hair more casually to follow the trends in the coming seasons. Robert Pattinson from the film Twilight, for example, best represents the slightly rakish just-out-of-bed style. Hairstylists are using Girls Just Want to Have Fun, borrowed from the '80s pop hit by Cyndi Lauper, as their slogan for the new hairstyles, which are short at the nape and accented with bangs in the front. The hair is cut at the same length from the front of the head, similar to the style Lauper wore. This cut offers many styling possibilities. Hairstylists recommend curling the top and front with a curling iron to create a less meticulous look. The new curly style is for women who like a bold look. It's inspired by curly towering hairstyles of the 17th century and is achieved by curling long-layered hair with the fingers and then making it firm with a curling iron. The bob, popular in many seasons, is coming back as the short bob. It is the look of the Roaring Twenties with a new look and feel. Longer bangs make it fresher, and hair wax is used to slick it back, turning the retro haircut into a modern Amazon look. Structured cuts define the hairstyle trend for men. Various lengths create a rich texture, though overall the hair remains a bit longer. Styled loosely back, the cut looks natural and styled wildly, the hair has that famous just-out-of-bed look.
